Mike la Villa - Founder

Accomplished, Passionate and Earnest


Mike la Villa began his career in Operational roles after being recruited into an advanced management program with Citigroup. While at Citi, Mike led the team responsible for decentralizing US Operations functions and thus created first-ever, localized customer service programs throughout countries in Latin America and Europe. The successful completion of this program over a four-year period contributed to a decrease in Client Services case volume and a reduction of associated costs, while directly improving client satisfaction overall. 


Subsequently Mike was recruited into the mobile telecommunications industry where he served in numerous leadership roles over an 11-year career that began at McCaw Communications. Most notably Mike led the team responsible for deploying over $300M in capital to create a nationwide retail distribution channel for AT&T after an acquisition of McCaw. The nationally recognized and awarded expansion of the channel from 220 locations to over 1,300 locations helped to increase the brand presence for the carrier while growing revenues, creating jobs and improving customer retention.


Since that time, Mike has held a variety of senior leadership roles in the Manufacturing and Technology sectors. As a General Manager with Vanguard Protex Global, a manufacturer of security systems for the retail industry, Mike focused on performance improvement and development of a healthy company culture.` Prior to his most recent endeavors , Mike had been recruited into the position of COO for an industry leading SaaS provider, CampMinder. 


Expert in the implementation and application of both the Service Excellence and Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) methods of organizational management, Mike is passionate about designing

and implementing the systems, methods and procedures that contribute to producing healthy organizations. It is Mike’s firm belief that healthy organizations, those which are sound in their operational and financial practices, foster a high level of employee engagement thereby impacting not only the organization and it’s team members, but also the households that those team members

represent.

 

Mike holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Villanova University and is an active participant in the university’s Alumni Recruiting Network. A native of New York and former resident of

Florida, and Boulder, Colorado,  Mike now makes his home in Port Washington, NY where he gives back to his community through his volunteer work with environmental initiatives and bicycle safety advocacy.
